Provocative Posts Spark New Controversy

In a series of late-night social media posts on X (formerly Twitter), rapper and designer Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) sparked fresh controversy by retracting his 2023 apology for antisemitic remarks while making new inflammatory statements.

“I’m never apologizing for my Jewish comments,” Ye wrote in one post filled with explicit language, adding “I love Hitler” in another message during the hours-long tirade that began Thursday night.

Contrast With Previous Apology

The new statements directly contradict Ye’s 2023 Hebrew-language apology, in which he stated: “It was not my intention to offend or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused.” This previous apology came after major brands like Adidas severed ties with the artist.

ADL Responds to Statements

Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt condemned the remarks in a Friday statement:

“We’ve seen this dangerous pattern before – using Jews as scapegoats for attention. While it might be a sad publicity stunt, it’s dangerous antisemitism amplified through his massive platform.”

Additional Controversial Claims

The social media outburst also included:

  • Comments about Elon Musk and former President Trump
  • Remarks about wife Bianca Censori’s revealing Grammy Awards dress (“I have dominion over my wife”)
  • A claim about being misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder, instead asserting he has autism

Ongoing Fallout

As of Friday morning, Ye’s representatives had not responded to requests for comment. The incident marks the latest chapter in the artist’s history of controversial public statements and mental health disclosures.
